Italy CT Antonio Conte warns the Euro 2016 qualifier with Azerbaijan “will not be a walkover”.

The Azzurri can officially seal their place in this summer’s competition in France with a win in Baku, but the Coach is keen to guard against complacency.

“In their last four games they’ve had good results,” Conte pointed out, speaking to Sky.

“They held Croatia, and then Norway, and they’re our direct rivals. They’re a good team, they’ve grown a lot.

“It won’t be a walkover, it’s the inauguration of the new stadium, and there will be lots of people there.

“All this is good, it will help us to stay focused and make sure we don’t underestimate the task at hand.”

Conte was then asked about his team for tomorrow, and admits he has an idea of who he’ll deploy.

“The team is growing very well from a tactical point of view, I’ve called a lot of players up to take advantage of the nine days we have available and to transmit my ideas to as many players as possible.

“Alessandro Florenzi or Antonio Candreva? It’s a good question, there’s also [Stephan] El Shaarawy, [Giacomo] Bonaventura and many others.

“I’ve already got a choice in my head, although the final decision will be difficult, because everyone’s physical condition is the same.

“What I’m sure of is that those who start, and those who come on, will do well.”
