Antonio Conte will dine with President Aurelio De Laurentiis this evening before he is announced as new Napoli coach on Wednesday.

The tactician has been in negotiations for months and his lawyers finalised the details of the contract, including the all-important image rights.

According to the Corriere dello Sport and Sky Sport Italia, Conte arrived in Rome today to meet with De Laurentiis, whose main offices are in the Eternal City.

He will have dinner with De Laurentiis and new Napoli director of sport Giovanni Manna this evening.

Conte can then sign the contract tomorrow, which is believed to be worth €6.5m per season plus bonuses for three years, with no release clause.

Napoli fans meet Conte in Turin

The coach was first spotted at Turin airport, where he signed an autograph for some fans that included this dedication: “With affection and Forza Napoli!!!”

A few days after signing the contract, the former Inter, Tottenham, Juventus and Italy boss should be presented to the media at the historic San Carlo theatre in Naples.
