UEFA have completed their Conference League Round of 16 draw, setting up the next step of Fiorentina’s European campaign.

The Viola did well in the group stages in the first half of the season, topping a group containing Ferencvaros, Genk and Cukaricki. As such, they managed to avoid the potential pitfalls of the knockout playoffs.

Fiorentina shined in the Conference League last season and managed to reach the final, where they lost to West Ham in bitter fashion, leaving Vincenzo Italiano’s side with unfinished business in the competition.

At UEFA’s Conference League Round of 16 draw in Nyon today, Fiorentina were pair up with Maccabi Haifa, setting up a tense two-legged affair for the Italian hopefuls.

The Florence outfit had also been doing well in Serie A this season but have started to run out of steam in recent weeks, with their poor form seeing them slip down to eighth in the table after 25 matches, seven points behind fourth place Atalanta.
