Roma start a new adventure in the group stage of the UEFA Europa Conference League against CSKA Sofia and Jose Mourinho is expected to give Chris Smalling his first start.

The match kicks off at 20.00 UK time at the Olimpico in Rome.

The group stage of the inaugural Conference League starts today and Mourinho announced he will rotate the squad yesterday.

He starts with the defence, giving English full-back Smalling his first start of the season, with Riccardo Calafiori set to play too.

Bryan Cristante and Jordan Veretout should be in the middle, while Stephan El Shaarawy is in the attacking trident after his wonder goal against Sassuolo last time.

Tammy Abraham should start up front, with Eldor Shomurodov expected to replace him during the match.
