Fiorentina need to overturn the 1-0 first leg defeat to Rapid Vienna if they are to reach the Conference League group phase, so M’Bala Nzola leads the attack with Nico Gonzalez.

It kicks off at the Stadio Artemio Franchi at 19.00 UK time (18.00 GMT).

The Viola lost the first leg 1-0 to a Marco Grull penalty and with no away goals rule, any victory by a one-goal margin will prompt extra time.

Vincenzo Italiano’s side fumbled a 2-0 lead to draw with Lecce in Serie A on Sunday, further hitting confidence, while Sofyan Amrabat and Luka Jovic are left out pending potential transfers.

Jonathan Ikone and Gaetano Castrovilli are also injured, but Nzola is preferred to fellow summer signing Lucas Beltran.

Rapid Vienna have two important absentees, as striker Guido Burgstaller and right-back Thorsten Schick are both injured after starting the first leg.

Fiorentina: Terracciano; Dodo, Milenkovic, Ranieri, Biraghi; Arthur, Mandragora; Nico Gonzalez, Bonaventura, Kouame; Nzola

Rapid Vienna: Hedl; Oswald, Querfeld, M Hofmann, Auer; Sattlberger, Kerschbaum; Kuhn, Seidl, Grull; Mayulu
