UEFA will carry out the Conference League Round of 16 draw today, allowing Fiorentina to learn their next opponents on the European stage.
The draw for the two European club competitions will take place today in Nyon at 11.00 UK time, starting with the Europa League before moving onto the Conference League.
Vincenzo Italiano’s Fiorentina did well in the group stages of the competition, finishing ahead of Ferencvaros, Genk and Cukaricki in Group F, ending with a record of three wins and three draws.
The Viola reached the Conference League final last season, where they lost to West Ham in bitter circumstances, giving Italiano’s squad extra motivation to take revenge this campaign.
The rules of the draw in Nyon today are simple – the eight Conference League group winners will be drawn against the knockout play-off winners, and clubs from the same country cannot be drawn together. The group winners play the first leg away and the return leg at home.
Who Fiorentina could draw: Ajax, Union Saint-Gilloise, Molde, Sturm Graz, Dinamo Zagreb, Olympiacos, Servette, Maccabi Haifa.
