Milan remain interested in Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic, but transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà warns that ‘common sense’ is needed to make the deal happen.

Pedullà provided the latest updates on Vlahovic’s transfer situation in his latest column for Caught Offside.

Vlahovic already held talks with Allegri

Vlahovic’s future is one of the major talking points of the summer, as Juventus are awaiting offers for the Serbia international, who is unwilling to extend his contract in Turin beyond 2026.

Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri has already held talks with his former striker, but the Rossoneri must work on the financial aspect of the deal to satisfy both Juventus’ and Vlahovic’s demands.

The Serbia international will earn €12m in the final year of his contract at the Allianz Stadium, a sum that Milan won’t match.

Therefore, the Rossoneri or any other interested club unwilling to match Vlahovic’s current salary would need Juventus to offer the 25-year-old severance pay.

“The obvious question is: Can the deal really happen? With a bit of common sense, yes,” wrote Pedullà.

“Perhaps by giving up part of his hefty salary, accepting a €4m-€5m severance pay and letting Milan take on a new deal worth €6m-€7m per season. The best way to say: ‘We used to love each other, now we don’t, so let’s separate and bury the resentment.'”

Vlahovic has scored 87 goals in 202 Serie A appearances with Fiorentina and Juventus.
