“I want to respect the rules for coronavirus, I haven’t been in Italy for seven months and I haven’t gone to restaurants,” he told the reporters this morning. “I have been back in the office for only three months.

“I have to be careful, just like everyone else, we must go home without getting sick. I hope to stay a few months, I want to stay more than a week.
“The team, the transfer market, I want to take care of everything, even the sports centre. I want to see the construction site, take care of the stadium.
“The amendment is a good thing; thanks to our lawyers we are helping Italian football. But there’s still more, let’s see. I won’t put down the money if the stadium is not built as I say.”
The President believes his team are ready for the new campaign and looks forward to having Giacomo Bonaventura and Sofyan Amrabat in the squad for 2020-21.
“I agree with [sporting director Daniele] Prade, the team are done. The if there are opportunities, we will see.
“There are 20 days left. I did an analysis, there has been a revolution in the team the last two years, as 85 per cent of the players arrived in the last two years.
“We made a lot of investments in January and last year. Bonaventura need time to recover physically, I liked Amrabat and I’m sorry he will be suspended against Torino.”
Commisso revealed the Viola are working to renew with German Pezzella and Nikola Milenkovic but said the reports regarding a new deal for Federico Chiesa are false.
“I have read fake news about contracts to be redone, we have to renew the contracts of Pezzella and Milenkovic. I’ll talk to the Prade and the guys, the intention is to make a strong team.
“Iachini averaged 58 points, that’s not far from Europe. I’m not saying that if we don’t get to Europe it’s a failure, we want to stay in the top half and higher.
“Nobody wants to win more than I do. There’s a good relationship with Beppe, as I have with the whole team.”
