Fiorentina President Rocco Commisso is the richest Serie A club owner, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, ahead of Zhang Jindong of Inter.

Bloomberg calculated the net worth of each billionaire in the world and found Carlos Slim to be the richest football club owner, in charge of Real Oviedo and worth $45.7bn.

He was followed by new Rennes owner Francois Pinault, worth $38.1bn, and Chelsea’s Roman Abramovich on $15.9bn.

Commisso is the richest Serie A owner and the seventh richest football club patron in the world, worth $9.05bn.

Andrea Agnelli of Juventus and Elliott Management leader Paul Singer of Milan are not in the top 500 richest people in the world.

Nor is Dan Friedkin, who just agreed the takeover of Roma from James Pallotta.
