Fiorentina President Rocco Commisso insists ‘there are clubs interested in Dusan Vlahovic, but I haven’t set a price-tag,’ amid reports of a bidding war between Tottenham, Atletico Madrid and Manchester City.

The striker is currently negotiating a new contract, but talks have slowed after his agents put in several new proposals, including €8m in commission and full autonomy to negotiate his transfer next summer.

“I have not put Vlahovic up for sale, if anything we made an important contract renewal proposal,” Commisso told TGR RAI Toscana reporter Sara Meini.

“There are clubs interested in him, but I haven’t set a price-tag. I want him to stay for one more season.”

It is the same reporter who said yesterday that Manchester City had dived into negotiations with Fiorentina for Vlahovic.

This would make it a three-way bidding war with Tottenham Hotspur and current favourites Atletico Madrid, with the bids reportedly reaching €80m including bonuses.

Commisso commented yesterday he “would think about it” if someone offered €100m for 21-year-old Vlahovic.

The Serbia international scored 21 Serie A goals last season and was purchased from Partizan Belgrade in 2018 for just under €2m.

He has seven senior caps for Serbia, scoring two goals.

  1. If Levy had pulled the trigger on the deal weeks ago he would be a Spurs player now and for a lot less than is being banded around now. Levy procrastinating has cost us on more than a few times, all these deals, Fernandes who ended up at Utd could be at Spurs, we could have signed Haaland of Dortmund for £20m a few years back, how many more times is he going to cost us? We need Levy out, we’ll never sign the best with Levy in control. Levy and Lewis OUT !!

  2. Previous comments are nonsense. Seeing clubs especially for strikers want to draw out buyers to increase price. City are after Kane, this story is a smoke screen@

  3. 100 million euros for this unknown kid who had one good season! Calm down Commisso. Nowadays anyone who performs decently is suddenly “worth” stupid amounts of money, and that’s only because there are a few clubs who can actually pay that sort of money. Which means basically it’s nearly impossible for any Seria A club to buy him. I’ll admit he did very well last season, but he’s maybe worth 20-30 mil, just based on what decent strikers go for these days. For a world class sum he needs more seasons under his belt, while performing at top levels consistently. Excellent bit of business for Commisso either way.

Any merchandise is worth as much as somebody is prepared to pay for it.
Comisso only said that if a ridiculous bid of 100 million did come in he would sell. Mbappe wasn’t worth 220 millions either before it was someone prepared to pay that sum.
