Fiorentina President Rocco Commisso took another swipe at Inter and Juventus for what claims is not ‘playing by the same rules’ as the other Serie A clubs.

Commisso was speaking at the Financial Times Business of Sport summit this evening.

“We don’t have a problem with anybody coming in. We have a problem with people playing by the same rules,” said the Italian-American businessman.

“There should have been consequences for anybody not meeting these rules.”

Commisso has said several times that he feels Inter and Juve should’ve been penalised for delaying payment of player wages, even though they had agreed this postponement with the team during the pandemic.

Commisso: ‘Inter and Juventus don’t respect the rules’

This specific panel was into US investment in European soccer, an issue close to Serie A after the arrival of another American owner, as 777 Partners purchased Genoa from Enrico Preziosi last month.

There are now six Serie A clubs owned by Americans: Milan, Roma, Fiorentina, Venezia, Spezia and Genoa.

Bologna are owned by Canadian Joey Saputo, while in Serie B there’s also Parma and SPAL.
