Omar Colley is set to join Turkish side Besiktas from Sampdoria for €2.5m, reports in Italy claim.

The 30-year-old is ready to finalise his transfer to Turkey and has already agreed to personal terms with Besiktas.

Multiple reports in Italy, including transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, claim the deal is worth €2.5m and will e completed today.

Besiktas and Sampdoria are expected to confirm Colley’s transfer in the coming hours.

The Gambia international moved to Marassi in 2018 from Genk and has scored three goals in 129 appearances with the Blucerchiati.

Sampdoria signed two new central defenders during the January transfer window: Koray Gunter from Hellas Verona and Bram Nuytinck from Udinese.

Dejan Stankovic’s side are struggling in the relegation zone and are currently eight points below 17th-placed Spezia.

The winter transfer window in Turkey is still open saw Nicolò Zaniolo join Galatasaray from Roma on Wednesday. The Italy international has become the most expensive transfer ever in the country.
