Stefano Colantuono expects a very difficult game on Saturday when his Atalanta side face reigning champions Juventus.

With four wins from four games, the Bianconeri have gotten off to a perfect start in Serie A, and their Week 5 hosts’ Coach has explained how tough it is coming up against them.

“I’ve followed all the Juventus games and I think that it’s the team that, by some distance, is the strongest in the championship,” Colantuono said.

“There doesn’t exist a strategy to stop them – if you attack, you leave them too much space and they punish you.

“If you try to defend in numbers, like teams have done in this opening part of the season, sooner or later they break through because they have players of incredible quality.

“We will have to play with our mentality, hoping to do the best we can. Against Fiorentina and Inter we played well, like a team aware of its own limits and capabilities.

“To at least have a chance we need to play with our mentality. The Bianconeri, I repeat, are so strong – they have unique technical qualities, great aggressiveness, and an excellent organisation of play.

“But starting out with a defensive shape would be a suicidal move. I want to see a little more competitive nastiness in the final third.”

Colantuono also mentioned that he would have to make some changes from the line-up that played midweek against Inter.

“Rotation is always a double-edged sword because it doesn’t make sense to change a lot of players all at once.

“I will do my evaluations, but certain players will have to play out of necessity.

“I will evaluate the changes based on the games we have coming up, it will be a game of sacrifice.”
