However, in a brief encounter with journalists today, the Artemio Franchi chief made it clear that Montella is staying put.
“There is no chance that Montella won’t continue to be Fiorentina Coach,” Cognigni said. “He is staying, 100 per cent.”
The President is also reported by numerous outlets to have revealed that both Borja Valero and Gonzalo Rodriguez have signed new contracts, keeping them with the Viola until 2018 and 2017 respectively.
