Aurelio Andreazzoli could be back on a bench very soon, as the former Empoli coach has been linked with both Hellas Verona and a potential return to Genoa.

The 69-year-old is currently out of work after three different stints in charge of Empoli, interrupted by a brief spell at Genoa for nine games in 2019.

He steered Empoli to mid-table safety in the 2021-22 campaign and then left due to a disagreement with the club hierarchy over how to proceed.

According to Sportitalia and Gazzetta dello Sport transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà, Andreazzoli has been approached by two different clubs this week.

The first is in Serie A, where Hellas Verona are rock bottom after nine consecutive defeats, having already sacked Gabriele Cioffi on October 11.

Promoting former player Salvatore Bocchetti from the Primavera youth team has not paid off so far and Hellas are seeking a more experienced figure.

Meanwhile, a return to Genoa is also possible, as German Alexander Blessin has struggled in Serie B this season with six wins, five draws and two defeats.

Cremonese could also be an alternative, but so far the club is sticking behind coach Massimiliano Alvini.
