Juventus have reportedly reached an agreement in principle with Bologna coach Thiago Motta.

Calciomercato.com reports that Juventus has reached an agreement in principle with Bologna boss Thiago Motta, who is the main, and perhaps only, candidate to replace Massimiliano Allegri next season.

The Livorno-born coach has one year left in his contract at the Allianz Stadium, but according to Calciomercato, Allegri will almost certainly leave Juventus at the end of the season.

There are no details regarding the reported agreement between the Old Lady and Motta, but the Italian outlet insists the two parties have already shaken hands.

Motta’s contract with Bologna expires at the end of the season and the ex-Italy international has refused to commit his long-term future to the club. The Rossoblu currently sit fourth in the Serie A table, two points below the Old Lady.

Bologna and Juventus will meet in the penultimate Serie A round at the Stadio Dall’Ara. Motta has also been linked with the Manchester United job.
