Fresh off the back of the 2023-24 Serie A season, Milan will take on Roma in a club friendly across the globe.

The match between the Rossoneri and the Giallorossi kicks off at 12pm UK time at the Optus Stadium in Perth, Australia.

Milan finished the 2023-24 Serie A season in second place, 19 points behind rivals Inter and four above Juventus. Stefano Pioli’s time in charge has come to an end after five years and Paulo Fonseca is expected to arrive in the coming weeks, but in the meantime, Daniele Bonera will be in the dugout.

The Rossoneri travelled to Perth without a number of first team regulars, leaving behind Christian Pulisic, Rafael Leao, Antonio Mirante, Simon Kjaer, and Ismael Bennacer. Mike Maignan and Samuel Chukwueze are both sidelined with injuries and are also unavailable.

Roma missed out on a Champions League spot under Daniele De Rossi but did impress in the second half of the campaign. They are expected to make some sweeping changes in the summer to try and close the gap to their rivals at the top of the table.

The Giallorossi have left behind a long list of internationals in their squad, including players like Gianluca Mancini, Lorenzo Pellegrini and Romelu Lukaku, bringing in a number of youngsters. Stars like Paulo Dybala, Tammy Abraham, Houssem Aouar and Evan Ndicka are part of De Rossi’s squad.
