Club Brugge have emerged for unneeded Lazio forward Vedat Muriqi, who is looking for a new home following a decent loan spell with RCD Mallorca.

Things have not been easy in Rome for the 28-year-old Kosovan forward, who failed to convince both Simone Inzaghi and Maurizio Sarri following his arrival in September 2020. After failing to score a single goal in the first half of the campaign just gone, he joined Mallorca on loan in January, where he found some confidence as he netted five goals in 15 appearances.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Club Brugge have registered their interest in Muriqi and they’re keen to sign the Kosovan forward on a permanent basis from Lazio.

Talks are ongoing and the Belgian side are reportedly ready to pay around €9m plus add-ons for the former Fenerbahce man.

Lazio have been desperate to re-home Muriqi for a while now, wanting to cut their losses after an unimpressive return on their €20m investment.

3 thought on “Club Brugge want Lazio outcast Muriqi”
  1. Igli Tare did some shady business behind the scenes on this transfer for his countryman. Definitely pocketed millions out of this ridiculous transfer.

  2. Milan Fan, he is not his countryman but his compatriot. Tare is from Albania and Muriqi is from Kosovo. Both are Albanians, of course. 😛
