Juventus defender Alex Sandro has reached the minimum number of appearances to extend his contract at the Allianz Stadium until June 2024.

The Brazilian’s current deal in Turin runs out this coming June, but multiple reports claim he has now played the minimum number of games to extend his contract by one more season.

Relevo and Goal.com’s Romeo Agresti confirm Alex Sandro will remain at the club until June 2024.

Alex Sandro currently earns €6m per season at the Allianz Stadium and coach Massimiliano Allegri fully relies on the experienced defender, so much so Juventus would have extended his contract regardless of his clause.

Alex Sandro joined Juventus in the summer of 2015 from Porto for circa €30m.

He has made 36 competitive appearances with the Old Lady this season, delivering two assists.

Overall, the Brazilian has scored 15 goals in 308 appearances with the Serie A giants, winning five Serie A titles, four Coppa Italia and one Italian Supercup.
