There are reports in Italy that Atalanta will let Teun Koopmeiners join Juventus for €55m including add-ons, but only after he plays the European Super Cup against Real Madrid.

The midfielder has long been a strong target for the Bianconeri, with suggestions he has agreed personal terms months ago and would turn down other proposals from the likes of Liverpool.

According to Calciomercato.it, following an initial €45m plus bonuses bid, Juve are now ready to get the deal done for €50m plus another €5m in add-ons.

This is not quite at the €60m asking price, but not far off it either, and they know the player wants this transfer.

Koopmeiners told to wait for Juventus

However, the report also states that there is a proviso, which is that Juventus cannot sign Koopmeiners until after he has played the European Super Cup against Real Madrid.

That is a huge and prestigious match between the holders of the Europa League and Champions League, to be played in Warsaw on Wednesday August 14.

The day after that tournament, then the Dutch midfielder can make the move.
