Roma have already qualified for the Champions League Round of 16, as CSKA Moscow lost 2-1 to Viktoria Plzen.

The Giallorossi would’ve been sure of their place in the next phase of the tournament as long as CSKA didn’t win.

Although the Russians were leading early doors through Nikola Vlasic and Igor Akinfeev saved a first half penalty from Roman Prochazka, Viktoria Plzen still fought back for the surprise victory in Moscow.

Prochazka made up for the penalty error and then Lukas Hejda completed the comeback.

That means this evening’s clash with Real Madrid is a head-to-head for top spot in the group, as both have already qualified.

They sit together on nine points apiece and it could ultimately be decided by head-to-head record.

Roma lost 3-0 at the Bernabeu in September.
