Reports say Roberto Mancini will face the sack if Inter fail to qualify for the Champions League this season.

The Nerazzurri have spent the majority of the season in a commanding position in Serie A, but have slipped recently and only won one of their last six league matches.

Il Quotidiano Sportivo reports today that qualifying for Europe’s top competition is so important to the club economically and to President Erick Thohir that Mancio would almost certainly be dismissed if he fails to achieve it.

The newspaper also says that the club have already begun looking into the possibility of replacing him with Atletico Madrid’s Diego Simeone, who they believe is ready to leave the Spanish club at the end of the season.
