According to the 2018 Deloitte Football Money League, Manchester United were the highest revenue generating club in world football for the second year running.
Yet they failed to make it into the final eight of the Champions League, beaten by Sevilla, who are the club with the lowest revenue remaining in the tournament.

Liverpool (ninth), Juventus (10th) and Roma (24th) are also outside of the top five in terms of financial strength, but the others – Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Manchester City – are all among the five richest clubs.
Sevilla aren’t even in the top 30 listed by Deloitte.
