Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini met Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani at the Rossoneri’s headquarters earlier today.

The tactician spent about 30 minutes talking to the official in Via Turati, a meeting which fuelled transfer whispers surrounding Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

“It was just a friendly meeting to say hello,” the Sampdoria legend told Sky Sport Italia as he left the building.

“Ibrahimovic? He is a great champion, but all of the Milan fans can stay calm…”

Premiership winners City have been paired with a move for the Swedish international striker over the past few weeks.

There are also suggestions that Milan made enquiries about City strikers Mario Balotelli and Carlos Tevez.

The latter was wanted in January, but the move collapsed after Alexandre Pato refused to leave San Siro for Paris Saint-Germain.
