Lazio striker Djibril Cisse wants to be a part of Euro 2012 after winning a recall to the France squad.

Cisse was selected by his country for the first time since 2010 this week as cover for the injured Karim Benzema and Kevin Gameiro.

And Cisse aims to impress boss Laurent Blanc in order to remain in contention for an international future.

"It was hard to watch France play and not to be included," the 30-year-old told L'Equipe.

"I've had ups and downs, but I have always remained attached to the France team. It feels good to be back.

"For me, this is not a temporary measure. If the Coach calls on me then he thinks I can help and give something.

"If I can get a place, I'll take it. When I want something, I give everything. I never let go – it's not in my temperament."

The former Liverpool player joined the Italian outfit this season after rippling the net with some consistency at Panathinaikos.
