Bulgaria and Palermo midfielder Ivalyo Chochev was disappointed with defeat, but experienced a “special night.”
The Euro 2016 qualifier was hosted by the Stadio Renzo Barbera in Palermo, where Chochev plays his club football.
Daniele De Rossi scored the winning goal for Italy and was then sent off.
“I thank the fans for the welcome. It was wonderful to play this game and they made it a special night,” he told Sky Sport Italia.
