Chivu injured in Italy draw

Cristian Chivu picked up a thigh strain against Italy and will be out for two weeks, leaving Inter with very few options against Chievo.

The Romania international limped off just 15 minutes into last night's 1-1 international friendly.

Tests have now confirmed Chivu picked up a thigh strain in his right leg and will need to be out of action for two weeks.

It is the latest injury concern for Rafa Benitez, who is already struggling to put together a team against Chievo this weekend.

Diego Milito, Sulley Ali Muntari, Douglas Maicon, Thiago Motta, Joel Obi and Walter Samuel are definitely out of the side, while MacDonald Mariga is a doubt.

The only defenders available are Ivan Cordoba, Davide Santon and Marco Materazzi.
