Napoli defender Vlad Chiriches will undergo tests on Monday after fears he has ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament.

The player limped off during last night’s Romania match against Montenegro after a sharp pain to his left knee.

Romania Coach Cosmin Contra confirmed straight away that it seemed to be “pretty serious” and the initial diagnosis is reportedly a lesion of the ACL.
