A consortium led by Lee is said to have almost completed due diligence on the Milan accounts, and is ready to present an offer.
The newspaper believes that Berlusconi would prefer Lee’s offer, as he would offer €600m for an immediate investment, whereas Mr Bee is offering €500m for 60 per cent of the shares.
