Italy icon Fabio Cannavaro is reportedly already at risk of losing the China job after overseeing consecutive defeats.
Cannavaro was only confirmed as China CT last week, with Marcello Lippi employed as his consultant, but La Repubblica claims his position has been thrown into doubt by 1-0 losses to Thailand and Uzbekistan in the China Cup.
“The [Chinese] federation still hasn’t taken a clear position on the appointment of a CT,” he told reporters.

“The [Chinese] federation still hasn’t taken a clear position on the appointment of a CT,” he told reporters.
“Like I said before, coaching the national team can be a great challenge and the greater the challenge, the greater the passion it requires.
“If China need me then I’ll weigh things up, but the appointment of a Coach can’t be made in a day.”
The World Cup winner is also the Coach of Guangzhou Evergrande, meaning he has had to juggle both roles.
“We need to talk about it, but if we don’t find a suitable way to carry out this collaboration then I’ll continue to coach Evergrande,” he concluded.
