Chile coach Martín Lasarte admits Alexis Sanchez is angry: ‘I heard people saying he had no minutes in his legs.’

The Inter striker delivered an assist in his country’s 2-0 win over Paraguay last night and was subbed off during the stoppages in the second half.

Sanchez has complained about lack of playing time at Inter, having only played 70 minutes across all competitions so far this season.

The former Arsenal and Manchester United star is not in Simone Inzaghi’s plans and is expected to leave the Serie A champions in the January transfer window.

“Alexis’ second half was extraordinary to me. He looked like Alexis at his best,” Chile coach Lasarte said at the end of the game, as quoted by Inter-News.it.

“Surely, he is angry because he always wants more. Last week I heard people saying that he had no minutes in his legs and was not in top condition.”

Sanchez is Inter’s highest earner with a €7m-a-year salary and according to multiple sources in Italy, the Nerazzurri are open to selling him, even on a free transfer, to cut their wage bill.

The Nerazzurri have reportedly targeted Luka Jovic and Alexandre Lacazette as possible replacements for Sanchez.
