Chievo Verona are hoping to convince Sergio Pellissier to sign a new contract at the Stadio Bentegodi.
The 33-year-old is only tied to the outfit until June and it is unclear whether the forward can be convinced to remain.
“We need to find the time to sit down and discuss the matter,” President Luca Campedelli told L’Arena.
“From next week, once I have sorted out a few more priorities, we can start to think about his contract.
“He wants to play regular football and that is only right, but it is only right too that he ends his career here with Chievo.”
The forward has been with the Flying Donkeys since his move from Varese in the summer of 2000. He spent the 2000-01 season on loan at Spal.
The former Torino player has scored four goals in 20 Serie A games this term.
