The final chance for Chievo Verona to rescue their Serie B status comes when the Lazio regional TAR appeal verdict is delivered tomorrow.
The club was excluded from the 2021-22 season because of financial irregularities, largely to do with outstanding tax payments.
They argue there had been an agreement to spread the costs out over several months in the wake of the COVID pandemic, but so far all the appeals have been rejected.
The final level of appeal in Italian sport is the TAR Lazio court, which will give its verdict on Tuesday.
If Chievo lose this too, then they will have to start from scratch in Serie D, while their place in the Serie B campaign will go to Cosenza.
