Reports are linking Chievo director of sport Giovanni Sartori with the job at Inter next season, but he is refusing to comment.
President Massimo Moratti has dropped several hints in recent weeks that he is unhappy with the way the club’s transfer strategy developed, particularly with regards to Wesley Sneijder’s exit and the lack of a real alternative for Diego Milito.
It is widely reported that current director Marco Branca (pictured) will be leaving at the end of the season and Sartori has emerged as the hot favourite to take over.
“I have not read the newspapers and do not know anything about this,” insisted Sartori today.
“I prefer for the moment to focus on safety with Chievo, who are fighting to earn yet another great achievement by staying in Serie A.
“The last two victories have put us in a good position, but woe betide anyone who thinks we are already safe.”
