According to the latest reports, Juventus outcast Federico Chiesa will wait one more day for Barcelona to prove they can register him, otherwise he will turn towards Liverpool.

It had seemed almost certain that he would spend this season at Camp Nou, emptying his locker at the training ground and saying goodbye to Bianconeri teammates.

However, even with just a €12m fee including add-ons, he still might be too expensive for Barcelona to register him without breaking Financial Fair Play parameters.

As the transfer deadline is on Friday, time is running out and the Blaugrana are already having difficulty registering Dani Olmo.

Chiesa sets Barcelona deadline

According to multiple sources including Sky Sport Italia, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano and more, Chiesa’s first choice is Barcelona and he will wait one more day for them to resolve the issues.

If they don’t, then the Italy international will look towards Plan B, specifically a move to Liverpool and the Premier League.

The interest from the Reds emerged today, but so far is only believed to be a request for information rather than genuine negotiations.

Considering the price-tag is under €15m for a player who Juventus paid €60m to sign from Fiorentina, even with a poor injury record, he has to be considered a bargain.
