Chiesa, Kessie and more: Newcastle pounce on Serie A stars

by | Oct 12, 2021 10:56

Newcastle’s new owners are reportedly targeting a host of Serie A stars, including Juventus winger Federico Chiesa and Milan midfielder Franck Kessie.

Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) has bought 80 per cent shares in the club and seem to have big plans for the future of the Magpies.

Antonio Conte has been linked with a possible move to Tyneside for the position as head coach, but he’s not the only Italian on the wish list.

Conte to Newcastle: a crazy idea that makes sense

Tuttosport reports the investors are looking to reinforce the squad at St James’ Park and have targeted big names from Serie A in order to do so.

With Kessie’s contractual issues at Milan, the newspaper claims Newcastle are ready to offer him a lucrative deal to arrive in the Premier League.

The Ivory Coast international’s deal with Milan expires in June 2022 and Corriere della Sera revealed he has already been offered to Inter.

Juventus starlet Chiesa is another name on the list of targets mentioned by Tuttosport and the Newcastle owners are reportedly looking at a possible deal for his Bianconeri teammate Matthijs de Ligt too.

The Dutch defender will have a €150m release clause in his contract, which is valid from next summer.

Inter stars Stefan de Vrij and Marcelo Brozovic are other possible candidates and the latter is currently in contract talks with the Nerazzurri.

Brozovic’s deal expires in June 2022 and the interest from Newcastle mean Inter must up their offer to tie him down to a new deal.

God, the EPL is more and more becoming a plastic, billionaire’s playground. Keep your hands off our talent, please.

You`ll never get Chiesa. Rather be a smaller tv presence than a plastic oil club, they are disgusting, but it`s hilarious to hear them complain that their owners are `only interested in making money`😂🤣😆.

Newcastle now finally have the funds to buy Valentino Lazaro from Inter.

Chiesa won`t leave Rubentus for that club. Kessie will follow money, most probably P$G.

Kessie can take the money and his attitude out of Milan. The sooner the better

Silly idea to go play in Newcastle. With all the competition there is in the English league for 4 places in the Champions League, this team will not go far and end up like Arsenal maybe even less. The English league is too saturated. Players of this caliber have nothing to look for in Newcastle.

Juventus were and will be dominant in Seria A. They don’t sell their players, specially the Italian players to foreign leagues. Just lookback their history.
