Federico Chiesa insists Italy want to go ‘all the way’ and says lack of playing time is not a problem for him.

The Juventus winger didn’t start any of Italy’s first two games at Euro 2020 as Domenico Berardi is Roberto Mancini’s designated starting right-winger.

“The coach wants us to be ready at all times, we are all starters,” Chiesa said at a press conference.

“Everybody is crucial and can be helpful to reach the target. We are here to go all the way through, that’s our dream,” the former Fiorentina man continued.

“Mancini has a great staff, they all bring important values and mirror the team that we are. Mancini brought enthusiasm and we can see the same among the fans.”

Italy have already booked their place for the Round of 16 and will win their group if they don’t lose against Wales on Sunday.

“They have important players such as Gareth Bale,” said Chiesa.

“Aaron [Ramsey] is another great player, above the average and very smart. I appreciate him on and off the pitch. He’s been dealing with some injuries, but he’s always given his best. He is a friend of mine, we are on good terms but we didn’t text each other lately.”
