According to Sky Sport Italia, Juventus star Federico Chiesa is likely to miss Saturday’s match against Napoli even if this morning’s test showed no lesions to the femoral bicep in his thigh.

Chiesa pulled out of Italy squad ahead of their meeting with Lithuania due to a slight muscle injury.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the 23-year-old underwent new medical examinations this morning and, once again, the tests showed no lesions to the femoral bicep in his thigh.

Race against the clock for South American players to return in time for Serie A fixtures

However, Massimiliano Allegri may rest him for the match against Napoli on Saturday as the Bianconeri will make their season Champions League debut the following Tuesday away at Malmo.

Chiesa scored one goal in two games during the international break and returned to Turin before the Azzurri’s 5-0 win over Lithuania last night.

Allegri may face more issues ahead of Saturday’s match against Napoli as Paulo Dybala will only return from Argentina on Friday evening while Alex Sandro and Danilo could miss the Stadio Maradona meeting, not returning in time from international duty with Brazil.
