The former Fiorentina attacker spoke during a webinar organised by Randstad and explained how he reached the top level.

“In sport it’s the constancy of work that makes the difference,” he said. “It brings consistency in performance and results.

“My teammates describe me as a generous player, rather than talented. I am talented and I discovered it, but my true value is that I give everything every day in training and in the games.

“I worked hard to get where I am today. As a kid, I saw younger players with incredible talent, who could decide any game in a second, but then failed to make the leap.

“My constant thought is to raise the bar every day and it’s a characteristic of mine that has made the difference in my career, bringing me to Juventus, one of the best clubs in the world.”

Chiesa, capped 24 times by Italy, has played 29 Serie A games since moving to the Bianconeri, contributing seven goals and eight assists in the process.

He had already scored once and made one assist in three games with Fiorentina before moving to the Old Lady in October 2020.
