Federico Chiesa is looking increasingly unlikely to pen a new contract with Juventus, forcing them to set a price on the Roma target, reports detail.
The 26-year-old Italian winger has just 12 months left on his contract in the Piedmont capital and renewal talks with his agent Fali Ramadani have not progressed positively. Whilst he was hoping for a raise, Cristiano Giuntoli only offered a two-year extension with lower salary figures.
Chiesa cost Juventus around €55m total, €10m for the two-year loan and a further €45m payable over three financial years to Fiorentina. At this stage, the amortization leaves his costs at €15m on the balance sheet, giving Juventus something to think about ahead of the summer.
Chiesa price
Page four of today’s Corriere dello Sport details how Juventus would be willing to let Chiesa leave the club this summer for a fee as low as €25m, which would allow them to make €10m in capital gains on the winger, who has attracted attention from Roma and some Premier League clubs.
The Old Lady don’t want to start the 2024-25 season without resolving the issue, fearful of losing the 26-year-old on a free transfer next summer. He currently earns around €5m net per season and is keen for a loftier salary in his next contract, either in Turin or elsewhere.
Wow.. I don’t know it’s a brave move or plainly stupid act of Giontoli.
It will be another plainly stupid act of Giuntoli
Why lose Chiesa and replace him with Greenwood? I’ve never been impressed by Greenwood when he was at Utd.
Wingers are more needed now a day in modern football. Motta and Giuntoli need to understand that no team with a 3-5-2 formation has won anything except Atalanta. If they want to keep a three dendenders module they could change another module like 3-2-4-1 or 3-2-3-2 so they could keep use Chiesa and start looking for another winger like Mousa Diaby.
Chiesa the best player we got he’s worth at least 60millon pounds
