There are reports Dejan Kulusevski will be chosen to lead the Juventus attack, sending Federico Chiesa to the bench, while Arturo Vidal is a potential starter for Inter.
It kicks off at San Siro at 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT).
Max Allegri is on a run of 1-0 results in both Serie A and the Champions League, so has decided to keep things tight and strike on the counter.
Paulo Dybala is back in the squad after a muscular problem, but Moise Kean and Adrien Rabiot are unavailable.
According to the latest reports from Sky Sport Italia, Kulusevski will be picked to partner Alvaro Morata in a 3-5-2 formation rather than Chiesa.
The Italy international centre-back pairing of Leonardo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini should also send Matthijs de Ligt to the bench.
As for Inter, Alessandro Bastoni is expected to return in defence after he was rested in the Champions League midweek against Sheriff.
The big doubt is in midfield, where Hakan Calhanoglu is not 100 per cent fit, so Arturo Vidal could face his former club.
Probable line-ups
Inter (3-5-2): Handanovic; Skriniar, De Vrij, Bastoni; Darmian, Barella, Brozovic, Calhanoglu, Perisic; Dzeko, Lautaro Martinez
Juventus (3-5-2): Szczesny; Danilo, Bonucci, Chiellini; Cuadrado, Bernardeschi, Locatelli, McKennie, Alex Sandro; Kulusevski, Morata
Imagine starting Bernardeschi over Chiesa, if he indeed does.
Chiesa will be like
I’m going Liverpool
Peace Out
Then Chiellini and Bonucci can start talking behind peoples backs again
Chiesa will be the super sub w/ fresh legs
Chiesa is pretty good as a super-sub as we’ve seen in the past.
OTOH, wouldn’t surprise me if Allegri has it in for Chiesa seeing as how he made some comments about Chiesa around Week 2.
Bernardeschi over chiesa. Wow
If Juve players really have that big confident that they can absorb Inter‘s attacks in 1st half, why not?
Fresh Chiesa will surely destroy tired Inter defenders in 2nd half. This is not a bad strategy.
Chiesa on here in the 2nd Half and Juve with the upperhand this Half but Inter have a 1-0 lead so the damage might be done.
