Juventus are determined to extend Federico Chiesa’s contract beyond 2025, but if the Italian star doesn’t commit his future to the club, he could be included in a swap deal to sign Joshua Zirkzee from Bayern Munich, reports in Italy claim.
Juventus are willing to extend Federico Chiesa’s contract, but talks with the striker’s agent have not yet entered the final stage, reports La Gazzetta dello Sport on Saturday.
Juventus are aware that without a contract extension, they’d be forced to listen to offers in the summer so they won’t lose the 26-year-old on a free transfer at the end of 2024-25.
According to Gazzetta, Juventus are confident that Chiesa will eventually sign a new deal to extend his stay beyond 2025, but at this stage, nothing has yet been decided.
As per Tuttosport, Chiesa could even be included in a player-plus-cash swap deal to sign Zirkzee from Bayern Munich. The Dutch striker is under contract with Bologna, but the Bavarians are the only club holding a €40m clause to buy him back at the end of the current campaign.
Tuttosport confirms Juventus’ strong interest in Zirkzee and claim Bayern are long-time admirers of Chiesa, so the Italy international could be included in a potential deal with the Bundesliga giants in the summer.
