Chiesa and Kean take centre stage against Chelsea

Juventus seem set to rely on Italy duo Federico Chiesa and Moise Kean against Chelsea on Wednesday, and the duo have already proved they can deliver together in Serie A.

The youngsters are hungry for Europe and Juve are depending on the Italy internationals against the reigning European champions on Wednesday.

Paulo Dybala and Alvaro Morata are ruled out with injuries until after the international break and Allegri is expected to replace the two with Kean and Chiesa up front against the Blues.

Chelsea have only conceded three goals so far this season and Juventus will play both Chiesa and Kean for the first time since the 3-2 win over Spezia.

Kean scored his first goal since returning to Turin against the Aquilotti, when Chiesa helped turn 1-2 into 3-2 in the second half.

It was Chiesa’s only goal in five Serie A games this term and the former Fiorentina man did not play in the 3-0 win over Malmö FF in the first round of this year’s Champions League.

Chiesa, who scored four times in eight Champions League games last term, has already experienced the ups and downs of the prestigious competition.

His brace against FC Porto in the knockout stages wasn’t enough to help Juventus advance in the competition.

Kean played five times in the Champions League during his first stint with the Old Lady but has yet to score in the competition with the club. He did, however, contribute three goals in nine appearances with Paris Saint-Germain last term.

If Allegri decides to continue in a 4-4-2 formation, he’s expected to start with Chiesa and Kean up front, but he could also opt for a 3-5-2 with Chiesa on the wing and Dejan Kulusevski next to the former Everton striker up front.
