Federico Chiesa’s agent Fali Ramadani has outright rejected suggestions that he has been in talks with Besiktas, despite statements from the Turkish club’s vice-President claiming the opposite.

Ramadani rejects Besiktas director’s Chiesa claims

Besiktas vice-President Hüseyin Yücel told outlets in Turkey that Besiktas had been exploring a move for the Italy international for ‘around 10 days’, but insisted that the club were put off after hearing of the player’s salary demands.

The Besiktas director claimed that Chiesa wanted a €9m salary, on top of the ‘€15m’ transfer fee being sought by Juventus

Yücel also suggested that there are seven other clubs currently chasing the 26-year-old’s signature.

His agent, who also represents Marc Pubill and is in Italy to oversee the completion of his client’s move to Atalanta, told the press that he has not negotiated with Besiktas and added that he has never met Yücel.

“I don’t know the person in question, and I have never dealt with Besiktas for Federico Chiesa,” Ramadani said, reported via Gianluca Di Marzio

The Italy international remains out of the picture under Thiago Motta, as are several other former first-team regulars. He has not travelled with the squad for Sunday afternoon’s friendly against Atletico Madrid.
