Chiesa agent denies Juventus contract rumours

Federico Chiesa’s agent Fali Ramadani denies reports the Italy international is demanding a salary worth €8m per season to stay at Juventus.

The 25-year-old is under contract until June 2025 and has increasingly been in a tense rapport with coach Max Allegri, which does not seem to be getting any better.

It fuelled rumours Chiesa will push for the exit this summer, or potentially demand wages of €8m per year to extend his contract in Turin.

“With regards to the rumours of the last few days on the future of Federico Chiesa, agent Fali Ramadani denies the reports of a request worth €8m put forward by the player to sign a new contract with Juventus FC,” read a statement.

Chiesa was purchased from Fiorentina, initially on loan in 2020 for €12.6m, then on a permanent basis in 2022 for a further €42.5m.

After recovering from a devastating knee injury, he played 33 competitive games for Juve this season, contributing four goals and six assists.

He has been heavily linked with Newcastle United and Aston Villa, but would seem to be holding out for more prestigious clubs such as Liverpool, Bayern Munich or Paris Saint-Germain to take a step forward and make an offer.

The asking price at Juve is expected to be circa €60m.
