Chiellini’s future plans: MLS or retirement?

Giorgio Chiellini made it clear that he’ll be saying goodbye to Juventus soon, forcing him to decide what path to take next.

The 37-year-old Italian centre back has decided to leave the Bianconeri a year ahead of his contract expiry in order to start a new adventure. Chiellini has featured semi-consistently under Massimiliano Allegri this season, missing a number of games due to injury.

As detailed by Calciomercato.com, Chiellini now has to decide between making a move to the MLS to continue his playing career or hanging up his boots and taking on a director’s role with Juventus.

Vancouver Whitecaps have already sent a concrete offer to the Italian veteran but he remains unconvinced for the time being; LA Galaxy have only made enquiries at this stage and haven’t sent an offer. He’d also be interested in a move to Inter Miami.

There is no rush for him to accept the director role at Juventus and so now it’s up to him to decide whether or not he’s interested in an adventure in America.
