The Juventus defender has won 96 caps for the Azzurri since making his full international debut in 2004.

But during an interview with Corriere dello Sport, the 33-year-old revealed he is unsure as to whether he should continue playing for his country or make way for younger talent to emerge.

“I am torn. I am not a youngster anymore,” Chiellini admitted.

“The boss will probably want to try out the many good younger players there are in my position.

“I will talk about it with him. I’ll do it with great calmness and in a level-headed way.”
