Giorgio Chiellini is back in training with Italy, albeit separately from the group, but Alessandro Florenzi will miss the Euro 2020 clash with Austria.

The Azzurri are preparing for Saturday’s Round of 16 encounter at Wembley Stadium in London.

Roberto Mancini’s men resumed work at the Coverciano ground today after winning all three Group A games without conceding a goal.

Notably, Chiellini was present on the turf today, albeit working separately from the rest of the squad, as he is recovering from a muscular issue.

The veteran Juventus defender missed the final game against Wales, having pulled out during the opening half-hour of the 3-0 victory with Switzerland.

It means he could potentially recover in time for Saturday’s knockout fixture.

However, Florenzi was still not taking part in training, so is highly unlikely to be ready for the weekend.

That means it is between Giovanni Di Lorenzo and Rafael Toloi for the right-back spot.

Every player in the squad other than third choice goalkeeper Alex Meret has featured for at least a couple of minutes in Euro 2020.
