Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini is only out for 10 days, so should be fit to face Bayern Munich.

The Italian international limped off 35 minutes during his comeback from a thigh injury on Sunday night, with fears he could be set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

However, the Bianconeri have ruled out a tear in the muscle, confirmed “an overload of the soleus muscle in his right calf” in a statement and revealing “Chiellini is due to return to action in approximately ten days”.

Juve face the second leg of their Champions League Last 16 tie with Bayern Munich in two weeks time, meaning Chellini should be available.

Coach Massimiliano Allegri has named his squad for tomorrow’s Coppa Italia semi-final second leg with Inter, and has chosen to rest Claudio Marchisio and Mario Mandzukic.

The Old Lady hold a 3-0 lead from the first leg in Turin, so Mandzukic is rested and Marchisio will work at Vinovo after going off injured in the first leg against Bayern.

Juventus squad to face Inter: Buffon, Khedira, Zaza, Morata, Pogba, Hernanes, Alex Sandro, Barzagli, Cuadrado, Lemina, Bonucci, Padoin, Dybala, Asamoah, Rugani, Neto, Lichtsteiner, Sturaro, Rubinho, Pereyra, Favilli
