Giorgio Chiellini has no concerns at Italy changing eight of their starting XI against Wales and assures he’ll ‘be there’ for the Round of 16.

It kicks off at 17.00 UK time at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, the final Euro 2020 Group A fixture.

“This is our last game in Rome and we are happy, because the first two matches were great and we want to end with a fine third too,” Chiellini told Sky Sport Italia.

“Italy are back to where we belong and it’s wonderful to be experiencing these emotions again.”

Roberto Mancini changed eight out of his starting XI compared to the side that beat Switzerland 3-0.

“Throughout the last three years, we always changed a lot, due to injuries, bans and new players coming in. If we have achieved these results so far, it’s because we are a team capable of using so many players and we’re all on the same page.”

If Italy top the group, their next match will be in London, otherwise in Amsterdam, but will Chiellini be there for the Round of 16 after his muscular injury?

“We’ll see over the next few days! I’ll be there, we’ll see if it’s from the start or on the bench, but I feel good.”
